1st BMW

Post by LesCriess »

Long time rider (going on 58+ years now) but recently bought my first BMW. One-owner '73 R75/5 SWB, 100Kmiles. Runs & rides well, in process of replacing non-stock bits & learning about airheads.

That bike looks almost identical to my first BMW, an R 75/5 which I bought new in 1972. The seat looks like it's an after-market seat and appears to be much more comfortable than the original.

I hope you enjoy that bike as much as I enjoy mine.

Have got a "stock" seat to replace the King n Queen that came on it. I'll see how I like the stocker after a few rides. The K n Q really locks me into one position on the bike and at 72 yrs old I need to move around a bit to keep the back and knees happy.
