R75/5 Replacement Starter Recommendations

After failing a number of bench tests, I have determined that my OEM Bosch electric starter on my 1971 R75/5 is kaput. I have discovered that "replacement" starters are priced from as low as $40 with free shipping to nearly $400 plus shipping. Usually, you get what you pay for, but is a $400 starter really eight times better than the $40 starter? The photos of these starters show various motor sizes and different castings. All very confusing.
Please make any recommendations for replacement starters based on your experience or what you may have read or heard. TIA.

Why not get the Bosch rebuilt? If it were me, that's what I'd do. What is kaput about yours? Your starter has 8-teeth so keep that in mind.
