Replacement Coils for 1971 R75/5

Post by jimmiejag »

Just starting to work on my '71 R75/5. I removed the tank today and found some rusty coils among other things, including an old wasp nest. I will check the coils to see if they function properly but have begun looking for replacements. I've found Bosch 6v coils online for around $100 each plus shipping. What lower cost options are available?

Although more expensive, I'd lean torwards Motorrad Elektrik or Euromotoelectrics...EME is somewhat cheaper. They stand behind their products and are very helpful.

Fast. Neat. Average. Friendly. Good. Good.

Kurt, Thanks, your source information is valuable. Literally. I have been away from BMW sources since I sold my previous R75/5.
