Brown side stand installation

Post by Andey »

I’ve installed the brown side stand on the R75/6, and I’m a lot more confident about it holding up the bike now.

The oem stand looks great, but the original one that came with the bike has bit the dust...

Question though, I’m second guessing my work and I’ve got a feeling I’ve installed it wrong... does the bushing go on the frame side? I’m having difficulty finding clear enough images on the web...

Not sure if you looked at Snowbum's site...he has a section of aftermarket sidestands:

Fast. Neat. Average. Friendly. Good. Good.

Thanks for the snobum link...

Yeah, there seems to be variations depending on the model of the bike it’s installed on... I don’t have the stock foot pegs installed which I’ve seen a few times and that’s what I originally had the brown stand installed with (it was pretty solid with this setup). Instead I’ve opted to go for a rear set which is set further back... so it’s kinda left a gap...
