Post by Snakecharmer »

Hello, I live in Stanley Co, Durham, UK and currently restoring a 75/5 and really could use a hand with the wiring. Happy to pay some one to help....

Regards

Chris

Welcome, Chris! Can you give us some kind of overview of what the issue is? Maybe people can help from a distance.

For a start you can go to Snowbum's site:

http://bmwmotorcycletech.info/technical ... s-list.htm

Then search for "38C". That's the start of his schematics lists.

Schematics

Post by Snakecharmer »

Hello all and thanks for your replies. My main problem is that I have been supplied with a new main wiring harness that is designed
for fuses but my old contact plate is 1971 pre-fuses giving me some trouble interpolating the wiring diagrams. Do I need to remove the Y/O lead from the plate?
I have ordered plenty of fuses just in case! Note! I am waiting for a front turn signal loom coming from Hucky's.

All Done, Used the wiring

Post by Snakecharmer »

All Done, Used the wiring diagram and some info on specific terminals on the ignition and relay/headlamp bases supplied courtesy of Brook Reams website. New reflector, chrome trim and seal with an H4 upgrade to finish the job off. Getting close now.....
