BSR morning workout and great assistance, thanks to all!

Post by San Arthur »

Our morning rutine starts with an early workout.
BSR morning workout

We had breakfast in Alpine, Buster came along.

After breakfast we took care of Zenaida.

Image

We spent three hours trouble shooting the electrical system at chris King's shop in Alpine.
Image
Everybody helped. There are 100's of years of experience among this great people.
Image
We used four different voltmeters, sometimes we got 0 volts, sometimes 3 or 6.

The problem was not in the bucket, it was a bad battery and a bad connection "30" between the battery and somewhere along the harness.
Image

In the process we replaced a bad condensor.
Image
We bypassed the ignition switch at the bucket and wire a cable directly from the battery to the front.

McDonald Observatory and Balmorhea

Post by San Arthur »

Zenaida has smoke comming out of the breather, low compression and a broken bucket support, but we made it all the way to the McDonald Observatory.
We had lunch at Fort Davis before.
Image

After lunch we start the climb to the observatory for The Annual Roll Down Competition.
We roll, with the engines turn off, down the mountain to a near by road, who ever glides the farthest wins.

Is there a magic solution to increase compression?

Zenaida is done!

Post by San Arthur »

I'm sad to report the on my way back to Fort Davis I lost 3rd gear.
Some few miles latter I lost power, coudn't go pass 35 mph.
Zenaida is done for good, there is no point in continue riding so slow, so we put Zenaida back on the trailer.
