Go to a NAPA/ checkers or online,you can buy a small jar of oil leak detector dye,professional shops use it to find oil leaks in engines.Simply add the dye to engine,and drive it,once the oil leaks,you can use a small UV/black light flashlight ,(cheap online)and shine it on the oil. If the black light shows flourescent color in the oil,then there is your leak,or vice versa......
I own a car repair business and get the dye from NAPA.
I hope it is the seal and not the bearings going out. Trans seal is easy if you have a good seal puller,it does take some work,just try not to scrape the input shaft,or gouge the case. Good luck!
