Petersmeier is an aftermarket accessory maker in Germany. I see them every year at Veterama, but the link I have for them is broken.

This might be some info for Peter Meier...off the oldtimer website:

http://www.oldtimer.net/kunden_html/bmw ... d/601.html

I didn't see any website link specifically for Meier.

The address information matches, but the old link I have
http://www.petersmeier-mot.com/ is definitely not working. As I think about it, they were not at Mannheim last October as usual.

They are (were?) one of the suppliers to the BMW Veteranen Club Deutschland and had deep oil pans, plunger frame fork tubes, electonic ignitions and other well made items.

Oil pan looks to be of excellent quality. I was thinking about some mor magnets though to keep the metal out of the oil slingers.

I put some "generic" magnets from the big-box hardware store in my R69S steel oil pan...just stuck them to the bottom and bolted it on. I recently bought some rare earth magnets from Vech that I'm going to put in the bottom of my steel pan on the R25/2. Seems like a good idea to me.

Not sure what kind of glue you'll need for your aluminum pan...something that is impervious to oil.

Another thing you can do is make sure your drain plug has a magnet in the core of the plug.

I have Peter S Meier stamped on the bottom of an aluminum sump cover - any ideas about it?

I was expecting to see BMW...
