It would help if you had some idea of the degree of rebuild wanted or needed. There could be local shops that are capable of doing the heads, cylinders and pistons. To remove the crankshaft to replace slingers and bearings takes an experienced shop, of which there are a few on the West Coast and around the country. If the crankshaft should need to be rebuilt, there are only two places I know of that can do that.
If your budget allows, it is best that a specialized, experienced vintage BMW repair shop do any work on the engine. This is because in addition to doing the work right, there are problems and needs that only such a shop might recognize.
Ideally it would be best to remove and pack the engine:

And ship it to:
Bench Mark Works

But the dirty oil has worn those bearings out of tolerance. You may be able to hear some rod knock, or the excess clearance will be apparent when the crankshaft is removed.
I am sure you will need a complete rebuild of all areas of the engine, including the crankshaft. In that case, I would either send the engine to Vech at Bench Mark Works and let him find a crank person. Ed Korn's Cycle Works in Wisconsin used to do Vech's cranks, and Ed may still do them after selling the business to a buyer in Kansas. Or, you could send the engine to Guenther Wuest in Indiana who does cranks as a part of a complete rebuild (did two cranks in my bikes).
