What's the reasonable total labor/parts cost of taking apart an R69 engine and replacing the slingers? How many hours should it take for an experienced vintage BMW mechanic to complete this work?
It's common enough to hear about the importance of cleaning, replacing the slingers, etc. I'm wondering if anyone reading this has been unfortunate enough to have experienced actual slinger failure and if there were any symptons/warnings and what the actual damage and repairs consisted of.
