Post by schrader7032 »

I'm not that knowledgeable about those kinds of things, but I've never heard of anything like that. There should be a frame number stamped on the side of the steering stem neck...does yours? Does the "S" look like it's been there since new, meaning there might be some corrosion around it or paint wrinkling, or does it look fairly new, different than other frame markings? I checked my R69S and don't see anything in this area. I also did some searching in some other forums but didn't find any reference to markings in the area you mention.

I noticed that on the stem tube just below the badge that contains model info there is an "S" stamped on the tube. Does anyone kinow what this signifies?
