R69S Fender Tag

Roland Slabon mentions this in his book. He doesn't mention the exact dates, but that "early versions" of the R69S didn't come with the tag. He writes that only the very last of the R50S models in 1961 had the tag. I guess one could infer that if the last of the 1961 R50S models got the tag, then probably they began for the R69S at about the same time.

I have been told that the early R69S bikes (1961,1962) came without the rear fender chrome R69S tag. Can anyone verify or dispute this? Thank You..................Comet
