I actually inquired about that bike in Alabama some time ago. The owner sent me pics with a description of what had been done. I wound up going with another bike probably due to my own "eccentricities" and desire for something even more unusual, but I thought the Alabama bike would definitely have been worth a look. It was still advertised in the latest issue of OTL so it may still be available.
Brian - - "OTL" stands for "On the Level" which is the name of the magazine that the BMW Riders Aoosciation puts out. "MOA" is short for BMW Owners of America and they put out a monthly called "ON" or Owners News. I can send you the contact info for the '67 R60 in Alabama if you'd like plus I still have some e-pics saved that he sent me.
I am currently looking for a nice /2 in case anyone here knows of anything. I would like to find something in fairly good mechanical shape and would be o.k. if some paint work would be required. Please respond or e-mail me at brian-mary@charter.net
Thanks,
