62 R69S mechanical rebuild

Post by jimkav »

Stuffed in the rebuilt motor & heads.
Highly recommend Jeff Moore & Q&E machine shop.
Did few minor other things (oil, silent bloc ect)
Bike fired right up.
Took for short ride down the street.
Have nice avonaire to install after shakedown.
From the internals it looked like milage on speedo was correct.
Pulls nice/shifts solid
Originally sold out of John Penton BMW/Honda in Lorain Ohio
Fun stuff!
Very pleased

Looks great....congratulations on the completion of the rebuild, and may it give you with many miles and many smiles :D Very cool you kept it in "US spec". That is actually more distinctive and rare to see them this way, most come into possession like that, and quickly get the Euro seat and bars ( I am twice guilty of this) so it is cool to see one in its original state! ENJOY!!!!
