Early R50 pushrod tubes

Post by kenrcruise »

I have a set of used (slightly scored on the 'lip' side) which look ike they can be cleaned up and polished. I want to know the correct length for mine, as I may have the slightkly longer R60/2 ones.

This forum is a great go-to for info one cannot find in regular searches.

Tommy -

Interesting...the different in stroke between the 500 and 600cc engines is 5mm with the 600 being longer. But the differences in pushrod tubes is 13mm. Where did you find this length info for the tubes? I've been looking at the usual places but came up empty.

Salis does not even include pushrod tubes in this diagram. I first looked at Max BMW, because measurements are oiften shown, but had no such luck! I will try looking at the new Bench Mark Works catalogue to see if measurements are given.

So does this confirm what you have in your hands? What are measurements for the 600cc engines?

Tommy -

Is the information given on the Salis page? I must be missing it.
