I have several that all need rebuilds. Not sure what condition you’re looking for.

I don’t think they are user serviceable. I always send them out.

The issue with most speedos is the bezel and how to remove and install without it looking like you went after it with a crowbar. Patience and a very thin flathead screwdriver worked very slowly around the bezel will allow you access to most speedometers. The pros will have a tool to press the bezel flat again to make it look as good as new but this can also be improvised with some creativity. The rest of the servicing is generally a good cleaning and light lubrication. I don’t know what the pro’s are charging these days but like everything else, it’s probably triple what it cost 10 years ago.

Thank you so much…actually I did exactly what you went in detail about…and it came out looking terrible. I ended up buying a new one. I was trying to keep everything original…but you know the saying….Sh*t happens.
Have a great new year…and stay safe.

If anyone needs to have their speedo overhauled I recommend Joes Speedometer in Reseda CA. 818 468-4414. Two week turn around and it looks brand new.

skychs, thanks for the source. Your speedo looks new. My 73 R 75/5 speedo needs new pointers as the tach is warped and the speedo pointer is broken. Otherwise it works smoothly.

I'd give Joe's Speedometer a call and let him know what you need. The price he charged me was the price he quoted me up front. The R75/5 may be a little different.
