Aftermarket hydraulic steering damper?

Post by gwagoner »

Anyone have a line on an aftermarket steering damper that I could use on my '66 R60/2 powered by a 1975 R90S engine?

I have a bit of headshake, the friction damper does a good job, but I would like more....

Yes, I am going to re-check everything else as well.

The cost of the OEM damper was a surprise as to how much they run

Why not consider switching to the more available friction damper?

I have used this VW beetle damper successfully on /5 & /6 bikes with sidecars ((and they were never intended for s/c use)
Cheap enough at $29.95. Go have a look.

I do have the friction damper installed, and want to try a hydraulic damper.

Thanks for the lead Vech!
