OK well it looks like my decision has been made a bit easier. The 50/2 sold yesterday. So right now I am looking at a 69s and 60/2.

Still haggling on price but it looks like we are going to be on the high end of the valuation I have seen for a very good condition r69s with recent restoration from a very reputable shop. Given how many projects I have with my Ducatis I definitely want to get a bike that is ready to ride and with a known history. But gulp, these R69s bikes are getting pricey!!

Thank you James. I am pretty excited. This bike pretty much has everything I was looking for. Also included is the rear fender luggage rack which I will be putting on in place of the swinging pillion seat. Most importantly the bike is ready to ride now. I definitely do not need another project bike! Now I just need to figure out how I can get it from the East Coast to Socal. My normal transport guy is tied up for the next 3 weeks. If anyone has recommendations pls let me know.

Call Heritage Motorcycle Shippers. I used them for an R 69 S from Oregon to New York and an R 51/2 from Arizona to New York. They are GREAT!!!!

Talk to Mary Lou Wilson and the number is (800) 615-3011.

Nice looking! Ride it a while before you take off the pillion--you may like it.

I was happy with Haul Bikes (moved an R60 from MN to AZ).
