Those mufflers won't get hot enough to affect those bags. Those bags might look pretty cool with stripes done in the same color as the bike/dover white...or whatever they call the light tan color.

Thanks guys. I got in touch with my pin striper. He said he could try to copy the original Enduro bag decals (stripes). His is concerned about two things ... the texture of the bags and the material used to mold them. It will be a couple of weeks before he can get to them but I will let you know how it turns out.

Almost 350 miles on the new engine and transmission. The bike is running great except when I get it up to around 70mph. At around 70 it starts to bog down like fuel starvation. The advancer is working fine, I’m running stock jets and Hoske exhaust.

Should I consider a larger main jet? Any other considerations? TIA

If you have in-line fuel filters installed, check the flow rate to the carbs to make sure the filters are not limiting fuel flow at high speed (highest consumption rate).

I forget how it is spec'd (you'll have to look it up), but it is either X amount of time (to determine how much fuel gets delivered during that time), or Y amount of fuel (to determine how long it took to fill that amount).

If you care about authenticity of the pinstripe location on the bags, (dealer's choice, my opinion) then be aware there were two sizes of Enduros bags for the Earles bikes, AA and BB, and Stanley Newman (the guy who made the bags) painted the stripes on slightly differently depending on which model, and yours look to be copies of the AA.
Here's some of the pics I took years ago when comparing the two models. (I have to relearn attaching photos each time, so will try again if they don't make it here)

Slightly loosen gas cap and see if bogging improves. If you can,do a "plug chop" where as soon as it bogs, pull in cluthc and kill ignition and pull over and look at the spark plug. If it is dark, then lower jet needle,if it looks lean, raise needle 1-2 notches, and possibly get a bigger main jet or ream yours. I had a dead spot on my R60/2 when transition from idle jet to main/off gas-then back on ,and needle position did not help,so I slightly reamed main jet which helped.
