Very cool - what model was it off of? and where is the magical barn that vintage bikes keep pouring out of??

Maybe mask it off and hit it with some clear poly or lacquer to help preserve it? Don't know what plans are but I've always been a patina and originality guy - too easy for things like this to disappear and I think it adds something to the story

Hello Vech,

Do you know the name of that fairing? And is it the same as this one? (Sorry to change the subject.)

Charlie.

Charlie,

It is an English Avonare fairing, made specifically for BMW Earles Fork Bikes. Same as the one in your photo.
Can anyone tell me why the photos that I post always appear turned 90 degrees off, yet turn right side up when you click on them?

Vech, it has to do with the orientation information in the phone that you used to take the picture...unless you used a digital SLR!! Anyway, the forum software doesn't interpret that information correctly for some phones, typically the issue is with iPhones. James has indicated that should be addressed when he can get to a forum software upgrade.

I grew up in cleveland suburbs and remember Penton/Honda dealer well.
bikes currently at nephews house in PA
shippers picking up at 7:30 today & heading to Long Beach
hopefully I'll be able to get it running (has spark & fuel tanks clean)
then figure out what to do
not enthused about wrenching on motorbikes these days (had my fill)
But might make a decent daily rider as is
