Yesterday I made the gamble. I expect if it arrives my wife will say merry christmas.
I have an original that sprung a leak, so when the india tank arrives I will be able to compare.

Edit. If anyone has roundels and/or knee pads that aren't quite perfect, let me know.

Edit2: and can someone tell me if the white lines look right. From the pictures I thought that they didn't look like decals, but my original sports tank had already been repainted, without stripes. Are they positioned correctly?

Hi Don,
Thank you, I would love to hear from you again on the subject and see what your impression is of this tank, when it arrives.

Micha, I order a rear fender made in India and the quality was exactly what I paid for it. The description and pictures on E-Bay had nothing to do with what I received.
I end up repairing my old fender. It was a waist of time and money.

Picture on E-Bay showed shaft channel

It was not there

I'm sorry to hear.
Really very disappointing to get such a poor product. An unpleasant experience.
Hopefully you were at least able to get some sort of compensation from the vendor, since in the eBay regulations he absolutely did not comply.
Thanks for sharing.

Edit-
Who is the manufacturer?
Does he have a website?
We will all have to be careful of him ...

This is the communication so far with a 100% good review seller on ebay.
BTW, can anyone translate German. I guess I asked for that.

EDIT: it appears "befindet sich im lackierprozess" means they are just painting it now.

New message to: vintage_classic_parts44

Please in English tell me when this will be shipped and what carrier.

You will have to translate that response.
Why hasn't it been packaged and shipped?

It has been 6 days, I have not received shipping information.
Please let me know when it shipped and by which carrier.

E-bay didn't help I never got my money back it was a nightmare. Vendor changed names and offer the same product under a different E-bay supplier using the exact same information. Lost of time and money.

Hi all, I ordered a set of side covers and tank for my 72 Commando and i have to say you get what you pay for:
Upon opening the box there was a strong smell of paint, bubble wrap left impressions all over the tank.
RT side cover mounting holes were about 2-3 mm off.
LT side cover would not fit...at all.
Lining inside the tank bubbled up with the first splash of gas.
I will not buy anything from them again.
what just happened

Did anyone really think repops made in India for peanuts were going to be OE quality replacements? This mystifies me.
