Does anyone have a lead on an electric tachometer that will work on my R60/2? I'm not interested going through the expense or trouble to install an original mechanical tach. I want something reasonably priced that doesn't look out of place on the bike just for use as a driving instrument. Thanks

Check out TinyTach. A friend of mine put one on his R60/2. I don't recall him grousing about it or how it operated. But they're pretty cheap. You'll have to get the one for our type of engines and ignition systems.

Fast. Neat. Average. Friendly. Good. Good.
So it says" "Adjustable from 1 spark per 2 revolutions to 8 sparks per revolution". We would need 1 spark per 1 revolution...is that right? I'm not sure if that feature is part of the capability.

I don't have a Tiny Tach; just reading the link Tommy provided-
The setup instructions read "360 degrees=1 spark per revolution", which is where I believe it would want to be set.
Both cylinders spark every revolution, (hence a wasted spark in the case of a 4 cycle engine) but the pickup, being on just one plug wire, only registers one spark per revolution.
Best-
