wixom ranger windshield replacement

Post by Greg Crosby »

Is there a supplier for a replacement windshield for a standard 7 hole 20" wixom ranger?

Welcome to the forum! I replaced the one on my R69S because it was short...I wanted a taller one for a little more wind protection. I ended up buying one from Gustafsson Plastics:

https://bikescreen.com/index.html

It came undrilled which I first thought might be bummer, but I think it is good so that it can be matched exactly to what you have. They include a drill bit. One downside is that they have etched their logo into the lower corners of the windshield. At first I didn't like that, but I got over it pretty quick...I don't even notice them anymore.

I don't see it listed on the website...might have to give them a call.

Years ago I bought a screen for my Wixom fairing, made by Gustafson. I traced the shape on light cardboard so it is an easy matter to take a sheet of plexiglass and cut and drill holes to fit.

I hope this helps. You may know somebody with the proper screen and do it yourself.

I think I bought one from clearviewshields.com, but it was years ago and am not sure.

Wixom is not listed, so email or phone them.
I know for sure they didn't list my moto guzzi but had no problem making a decent replacement

I have used plexiglass in the past but it cracks easily and might result in daggers on impact.

Gustafsson Plastics which turns out to be bikescreen.com were really responsive, helpful and had just what I needed!
