What Is The Best Shark Vacuum For Pet Hair?

1. Shark Rotator NV752 TruePet

This upright vacuum should be your go-to machine when you often need to do a thorough cleaning session, especially when much of the mess comes from your lovely pets.

The NV752 is equipped with a motorized brushroll, making it a strong contender for the best Shark vacuum for pet hair. This ensures adequate power for the brushroll to spin continually at speed, allowing it to deep clean carpets and dig out all kinds of debris and dust, including pet hair. Some cheaper vacuums, especially canister models, have a brushroll powered only by its suction. This design doesn't do a great job of deep cleaning and can even bog down easily.

The suction power of the Shark Rotator NV752 TruePet is quite strong. It plays an important role in pulling up pet hair from both hardwood floors and carpets. As you need to turn off the brushroll on bare floors to not damage them, good suction is always critical, and the NV752 delivers.

There are also plenty of extra tools coming with this upright vacuum, including the TruePet Motorized Brush. This hand pet hair tool also has a motorized brushroll, so you will have an easier time picking up pet hair from surfaces like your furniture.

In addition to those awesome features that help the NV752 collect as much pet hair as possible, this Shark vacuum has a great filtration system as well. With a HEPA filter, the NV762 can trap most small particles, such as mold spores, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, and tobacco smoke from the air. It's a must-have if you or any member of your family suffer from asthma or allergies.

Working in combination with this HEPA filter is the Anti-Allergen Complete Seal from Shark. It's a completely sealed filtration system, meaning no unfiltered air can bypass the filter and leak into the air through poor seals or cracks on the vacuum body.

However, many customers have said that this upright is prone to tipping over, and the handle is also too long for many shorter folks.

  • Powerful suction
  • Good at vacuuming pet hair
  • A dedicated motorized tool for pet hair
  • Lift-Away technology
  • Tend to fall over
  • Long handle
2. Shark APEX AZ1002

The APEX AZ1002 is the NV752's strongest competitor when it comes to cleaning pet hair, even though they are from the same company, rivaling each other as the best Shark vacuum for pet hair.

Unlike the NV752, the Shark APEX comes with the new Zero-M technology. It's designed to tackle the issue of the brushroll tangle caused by pet hair. Zero-M technology works by removing any pet hair tangled in the brushroll and sending it to the canister inside the vacuum. In our tests, this design worked incredibly well, and the amount of pet hair we had to manually take off was minimal.

The APEX AZ1002 also has a sealed filtration system with a HEPA filter. As we have mentioned above, they are crucial if you suffer from asthma or allergies. The air has to go through filters before going back to the environment.

This upright vacuum has three attachments: a 12-inch crevice tool, a motorized pet tool, and a pet multi-tool. All these specialized pet tools give AZ1002 users a great help when dealing with pet hair.

Another prominent feature in the Shark APEX AZ1002 is the DuoClean technology, which has a soft brushroll arranged in front of a bristled one. This design improves the performance of the AZ1002 a lot while not affecting how it works on carpets. The soft brushroll may get tangled with pet hair sometimes, but you can easily remove it.

The popular Lift-Away feature is still here, allowing users to carry the AZ1002 with only one hand in the handheld mode. Like the Rotator vacuum, the Shark APEX is a bit heavy. Its hose is quite short, and you can only store 2 out of 3 attachments onboard at a time.

The people at Shark seem to have a never ending supply of great vacuums for pet hair with the introduction of the Rotator ZU632. This vacuum is equipped with the Zero-M technology to make it harder for pet hair to wrap around the brushroll. As a result, you will have to spend less time and effort to detangle the ZU632 as in vacuums without this amazing feature.

As one of the best Shark pet vacuums, the ZU632 also provides a top-notch air filtration system. It has two pre-motor and one HEPA post-motor filter. The entire system is also sealed, making sure there is no unfiltered air escaping the machine before going through the filters. This upright vacuum is designed to work on both carpets and bare floors. The handle allows you to switch between hard floors, low-pile carpets, and thick carpet mode.

Thanks to the Lift-Away feature, the ZU632 is also a versatile machine. You can carry the motor/dust canister assembly alone with one hand while using the hose and attachments with the other hand. This allows the vacuum to reach into areas underneath low furniture, where a regular upright can't go.

However, none of the attachments have a motorized brushroll, which is handy for picking up pet hair from stairs or upholstery. You can't also turn off the brushroll, so vacuuming on delicate floors may result in some scratches.

  • 2-in-1 cleaning with the Lift-Away feature
  • Self-cleaning brushroll
  • Easy to use
  • Powerful suction
  • Sealed filtration system with a HEPA filter
  • No attachment with a motorized brushroll
  • Short power cord
Final Verdict

Shark produces plenty of great vacuums for pet owners. All the best Shark vacuums for pet hair does a great job at picking up pet hair from all kinds of floors while making sure the filtered air is clean and safe for asthma and allergy sufferers thanks to the HEPA filters.

Check that you have battery voltage on the ignition switch board (the large brown and red wires)
If you do then clean the contacts on the switch board, sometimes you have to bend the outer contact plate inwards to make contact when the key is down

Welcome to the forum! When you purchased the bike, did these things work? The simplest thing is the neutral indicator. There is a wire that goes into a small area on the back of the transmission. It pushes through a small access hole and then is pinched under a screw...there is probably a black/silver cover over that area. Be sure that that wire is properly grounded with that pinch screw.

The bulbs might not'll need to check them at some point. The power comes to the bulbs from terminal 15/54 on the circuit board inside the headlight.

You may have deeper problems, so just figuring out if the neutral light works is a first step.
