R69 Horn/high beam switch

Post by redavide »

Does anyone know where I might find one of these? It's on the left handlebar of an R69. Lower button is the horn, upper switch is high beam. Thanks.

When I activated the high beams, the switch started smoking and got so hot it charred my finger. Also, the switch felt loose like something was amiss inside . . . .

You can take the switch apart and correct the problem, most likely. As you (will) see, new ones are quite pricey.

May not be the switch it could also be a bad or shorted harness on the high side
