This does not show the original bars and seat...... I just installed the solo seat and low bars.

Indeed, your serial number puts it a very late '59 or more likely a '60. My '59 R50 is a March '59 build and is nearly 3000 ahead of yours. Is there indication this was an original Dover White bike?

I have not done the research to figure the color question out. I think it might have been black originally, there are places where there is damage, looks like something fell on the bike. It looks like the paint was black, then primer grey and then white/cream/ Dover White???? I'll try to post pics of the damage later.
