pannier bags?

Post by Micha »

My project motorcycle (R51/3 1952) is supposed to replace a scooter given to me from work and now I have to return it.
The scooter had a nice big box in the back and was used by me for short excursions in the city in favor of arrangements and small purchases (milk, bread, etc :) ...). Now I am starting to play with the idea of assembling motorcycle side bags and I would love to hear ideas, opinions, recommendations on such bags and in short - anything.
Thank you in advance.

I was looking at the cheap leather side bags on eBay (typically from India) and they have two leather straps on each. I was thinking I could just strap the leather straps around the rear rack but you could also make mounts cheap as well.

That was my idea. Have not done it yet.

This bag fits the folding rack on my R60/2 - purchased from Vech - like it was designed for it. It is firmly on the rack with zip ties and holds a lot. That and a tank bag should be all you need for what you describe and is a lot cheaper than panniers.
