If at some point you might hang a sidecar on your bike, the later carbs may be a better choice, that's the reason some of the early bikes got the later carbs installed at some point later in their life.

Dear Mr Starklint,
Thank you for your email.
The datasheet we sent together with the certificate was more a generic one and based on the entries in our own database. For carburettor types we enter the ones that were used when the model came out and don’t factor in later modifications – at least minor ones like in this case. This of course leads to confusion and is one of the reasons we don’t offer the second page anymore for several years now. There was just no feasibly way to cover all this with a reasonable effort and therefore for a reasonable price.
On the other hand even the 1960 owner's manual and repair manual show 1/26/9 and /10 carburettors for the BMW R 69 so I say based on our files the info on the datasheet is correct. It might be a good idea to ask what the info about the other type is based on.
