Good question
I have some fenders to be repainted and will see if it does react to a painted surface
Off for my 1st covid shot this afternoon and will try when I get back or sometime tomorrow

Whoever came up with the Cream of Tartar and Vinegar trick is a total genius!

I have just acquired an R68 and the carbs were scuzzy, dirty, dull and dingy. Looking at them, being the way I am, I was unhappy with the way they were. I figured I would try the Cream of Tartar and Vinegar trick, and WOW!!! Genius!

See pictures of the carbs below.

Tested on my older r27 painted fender
Left on for 1 hour
Good news that it had no reaction to the painted surface

First it looks like it shined the paint up!!!

Second, I like the addition of the Cream of Tartar, Vinegar in the kitchen with the Mr Coffee!!! Great shot!!!!
