Engine mounts torque settings

Post by Frank471999 »

What are the engine mounts torque settings on the R26? I can't find them anywhere on the workshop manual and on any website. Any help is appreciated.

Cheers

Most guys will say 'pretty tight'. That'd be me too.

Have a look at the thread size and pitch and search for recommended torque settings for those specs.
That should give you an objective starting point.
Obviously use of a suitable loctite product should assist in them not coming lose.

I assume the single vibrates more than the twins but have never ridden one.

I wonder if the Barrington repair manual would have that info.

Official torque spec is 74.6 N-m (55 ft-lbs), but I'd agree with the other guys here in saying just give 'em a good oomph.
