I just chose Metzler Block C tires for my R69s. Found nice fresh ones on eBay for $107 each including shipping.

Eric,
What size are you running, 100/90 18? They don’t list a 3.50x18.
I got mine at Bench Mark in July. Two 100/90s for my 69S.

I went with James Wonder’s recommendation of K36. Look and ride great.
Thanks to all for their thoughts. Brad Moore.

I like the tread pattern of the K36! Might be my next tire.

For tires, if you're actually going to ride it, I'd go for the Conti Classic Attacks. 90/90 front and 100 or 110 rear. They're an actual radial designed for old bikes with narrow rims. Fantastic grip. So far wear is excellent on my R69S. Head and shoulders above other options. Modern compound, no tramlining on grooved pavement/bridges and super smooth riding

I'd ridden the Lasertecs on bikes in high school in the 80's. Little dated and lousy on gooved pavement. The Avon Road Riders had been my go-to for older bikes for the last decade, but once you try the Conti's its an easy switch. I try not to ride in the rain but got caught in a day long downpour coming home from an Asheville trip and they were absolutely rock solid stable in the wet. Great grip and feel. Next choice for grip/handling would be the Bridgestone BTs. But since there's a terrific German option for our German bikes...
