Klaus :)

Ive attached pics of where ive got to.

The rear wheel is off and yes i’d disconnected from the transmission. The driveshaft came out as far as you see in the pic with a fairly soft hit with a hammer and a piece of wood.

Now it wont budge :)

Any thoughts?

can you make a pic right into the hole where the pin was? That way I see how far out the shaftdrive moved already. It should slide out veeeeery softly now. There could be a burr (is that the right word ....?) around the edge of the hole of the pinion gear where the pin was. If you move the shaftdrive back and forth with force on the outside movement ... does anything happen? I am afraid, heat or so wont help here ... you have to slide the shaftdrive sleeve over the burr of the pinion gear ...

Move the shaftdrive back in and check with a little screw driver around the edge of the pinion gear hole if you can feel a burr
