Tweaking repro pushrod tubes so they fit
A friend bought these pushrod tubes a good while back from I do not know where.
They were not round and certainly were oversized.
So they got a bit of a tweak today to make them the same OD as the original tubes.
You can observe the lip that is a result of the oversized tubes.
Something to pay attention to when we are doing restorations I would suggest.

Re: Tweaking repro pushrod tubes so they fit
1. The parts are not for my bike
2. The modification was quick to undertake and will not compromise the end job
3. It was a freebe so I wanted to reduce the amount of time spent.
In the attached photo I am measuring up a reproduction front bearing carrier. It did need to be modified but as you would appreciate in that case the work involved in making the complete part from scratch would have been very substantial.
