Can anyone give me some information about the history of this R69s

Post by huntmiller »

Hello,
I just recently purchased an 1965 R69s and I am interested to learn if anybody knows some of the history of this motorcycle. I've attached a picture. Other information I know is that the title shows it was owned by Novak Kinitec who lived in Newberyport MA. Serial number 659942. It has relatively low mileage is unrestored but has been maintained. I suspect club members will recognize the owner or the bike any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Hunt

I can't help specifically

Post by schrader7032 »

I can't help specifically about the history, but if you type the VIN into the frame (or engine) box on the left side of the screen, that will take you to the R69S spec page. At the bottom of the page is a PDF link which lists model year and other general details I've found over the years. In that list is a line for a bike built two VIN numbers after yours which was built on (or at least shipped on) 8/3/1965.
