Likely it did. Duane Ausherman says it was dished beginning with the R25/3 and ended he thought in the late 1950s. Near the bottom on this page:

Roland says in his book that in late 1953 to the end of 1954 it had a shallow depression at the bottom. After 1955, the dished area was eliminated. The R68 was around from about 1952 to 1954...in late 1955 they came out with the beginning of the "/2" era.
