Speedometer rebuild...

Hey Gang,
Where's a good place to send a speedometer off of a 1969 R50/2 to get rebuilt?
The speedo itself works, it's the odometer that stopped working.

I'm not sure if North Hollywood Speedometer or Palo Alto Speedometer will do units this old. I think that one of these places now sends them out to Joe's in Reseda.

Both of the below will do a stand-up job> North Hollywood did my '52 & '53 Veigels, but that was a few years back.

Overseas just did my R50 speedo, extremely personable, quick and competent service, a pleasure to deal with. North Hollywood took over a month just to reply to my e-mail, by which time Overseas had already completed the work. I've dealt with Palo Alto years ago (they're close to me) but found their service extremely slow.

Overseas Speedometer did a great job on a couple for us, 2 week turn around

Thanks for this information.

I've always wondered why those two tiny flathead screws couldn't be lined up. It's a minor detail but one that nags at those of us with a touch of the OCD.
