Sidecar Parking brake

Post by 1967 R502 »

Hello-

Has anyone adapted a parking brake to work with their sidecar rig? I see there are setups for Ural, the CJ750 and Harley, with the latter two seeming more probable as a direct swap to a BMW. Anyone try one? Or a different set up entirely?

I just leave mine in first gear. Never thought about a parking brake.

I just recently installed a modified CJ750 dual brake set-up on my R67's rear brake rod to help out on these San Francisco hills. To do this, I swapped out the Steib wheel with the front wheel and brake plate from a R71. Works like a charm.
