Working through reassembly of my 1965 R50 /2 project (I didn't take it apart so don't have that experience), and I'm noticing the rear brake light activation switch and the lever which activates it do not align very well. The pictures show the offset. Is the silver lever (into which the M6 hex screw is threaded) bent uncharacteristically, or am I missing something? The mounting locations of the switch and the axis on which the lever pivots are fixed, so I am thinking I have the wrong lever part or it is bent (p/n 35214044234).
Any thoughts from those more experienced with /2 bikes?

Kinda hard to tell...plus I'm not near my bike at the moment. I'm actually in St. Paul for a few more days. I wonder if there's something a second set of eyes might be able to help?

Fast. Neat. Average. Friendly. Good. Good.
What brings you to balmy Minnesota? I'd be more than happy to have a second set of eyes on it if you've got the time and interest. The bike is on my lift in Lino Lakes (northern Suburb) right now, and I am pretty flexible. If your schedule allows, and you want to have a look, send me a pm and we'll figure it out. Lino isn't the most convenient location so no worries if it's too out of the way.
There should be enough room to rotate the switch (holes are slotted) to where it sort of lines up. Can't tell from the pic how much more rotation in the right direction you have available.
Yes, I do like it when the solutions are easy; sometimes I should just slow down and remove my dunce cap. Hopefully I'll have pictures of the completed project to share on here before end of the year.
