Your "Theory VS Reality" pics are so spot on man. Hilarious.
Bike looks awesome up on that stand! Can't wait to see her done.
The newer the BMW, the bigger the spaghetti. Thanks for your kind words.
Front Fender

Now it is the turn for the front fender.
As you can see the diagram calls for M6 screws in the back where fender attaches to the suspension.
In my case the holes where perfect for M8 bolts and I think they will handle the load and vibration better. This is what I did, not what you should do.
I left all the hardware ready to receive the fender and bolt it in place latter.

Not to throw cold water, but did you intend to stripe the fender backwards? Thick stripe should be toward the outside. Sorry, couldn't help but notice.

I received comments the same day I posted pictures taping before painting the white lines. My choice, I did it for myself.
Oops, no holes!

Oops, no holes!
Since my fenders looked like swiss cheese I plugged/weld all the useless holes.
I managed to forget drilling the holes for the chromed fender bow before painting, I only mark them.
I had to drill them now after painting.
Mark, measure twice and drill!

Renn Shield
A few years ago I purchased a Renn Shield. I love the workmanship and quality of the product.
Unfortunately vibration cracked the plexiglass. I tried to reach Phil Muller for a replacement, but never find him. Latter I read somewhere he retired.
Since I needed a new shield I was looking for lexan and using the old plastic as a templet cut it to size.
Surfing the web I came across a sheet of perforated aluminum and decided to use this instead.
I got a 1/16” sheet, mark it using the old plastic as templet and cut it with a jig saw.
I taped the base plate with painters tape to prevent scratches, hold my breath and went for it.
I didn’t like color combination between the chromed frame and aluminum shield and decided to paint it black.
I cut it an inch longer than the original.

Wada ya know!
It's been a long while since I've seen a wiffle shield.
You just decreased your top speed by 2 MPH.
And it will be interesting to find out which key it "sings" in.
