OK, here's another question re plungers. Is/was there any mountable luggage designed for plungers? I haven't seen any.

Bucco made some nice western style fringed bags that fit the plunger nicely.

Here's a shot of my R67 back in 53' when it was purchased new from the dealer who'd apparently ridden it for her first two years. The bags are Bucco and they came with the bike, though not installed. I'll get some close up pics at some point. They're not exactly as pretty in my eyes as the vintage Cravens but cool none the less.

Actually you can mount a version of this type of leather pannier on a plunger frame BMW, using a mounting system from a BMW R12, bolted to the typical pressed steel fender mount package carrier...I think Lesek would stock the system as a repo, and you could use the earlier leather or the later steel panniers. The military BMW folks might know more about availability?

Ooh, I likey those! What type

These are Model 27 (or 29?) Denfeld panniers listed in the 1960's Butler and Smith catalogue, with brackets for R50-R69S type frame...somewhat rare, the leather bags probably don't age well...?

Is this what you're referring

He's talking about Leszek Łyżwiński, Oldtimer Garage in Poland: http://www.oldtimergarage.eu/catalog/index.php

He specializes in prewar reproduction stuff, hence the suggestion for R12 saddlebag carriers.
