Starter Fluid
Please be VERY careful not to get any starter fluid into the intake when the motor is running. Spraying starter spray into a running engine is like putting dynamite in a fire. Can damage your motor badly via detonation.
I perform a similar test using WD40 or carb cleaner, which are both much safer.
Cheers.
Jeff
Thanks a lot for your
I will try with carb. cleaner. I think is for check if the engine has an air intake in that gasket.
I have an other question. The serial number. 764253 is my serial number, but I can't find this numbers in any of serial number models list.
Can anybody check it ??
I have the same number on both engine and frame.

engine number
That engine number was stamped in by hand - and not by BMW.
it was done later by a previous owner - these are not the original numbers...
