Post by Wynand »

Came across this view of the M2B15 engine which I have not seen before.

Better quality and some other pics here:

M2B15

Post by Peter D. Nettesheim »

Helly Wynand,
I have seen the image before. We used it for our "BMW Team" T shirt a few years back when I was involved in a BMWMOA vintage display. The only issue I have is that it is not an M2B15 image. It is the later M2B33 engine. The base of the M2B15 was much wider with a sump on one side and a mounting flange on the other. Both of these would clearly show on the image if it were that engine. Thanks.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the correction. There is no way that I would have been able to spot the difference with my limited knowledge and took the description on the link for the truth. Fortunately you are here to keep an eye on things!
