R62 licence plate
From this (and maybe a couple others), I made this:
I cut the plate from a piece of mild sheet steel with a bandsaw, cleaned it up with a Dremel tool and hand files, then gave it a couple coats of primer, and a top coat of white. After it was fully dry, I made a template for the white area, covered the plate on both sides with masking tape, traced around the template, and carefully cut away the masking tape outside the template. Then I sprayed the plate with black paint. I had the lettering done in vinyl lettering, carefully applied it, and then sprayed the entire thing with clear.
