Happy to be of service, Bruce. If you check out the "sticky" post at the top of the Forum Issues category, you'll see how to register as a member and be able to use the member categories, too.

hi - new member - sort of

Post by markaliquo »

Hi, I registered to be a new member a few weeks ago. I did this paying with PayPal. I have no idea how to get my member number. Does anyone know how to do this? I sent a few emails out, but I imagine, everyone is as busy as I am.

I have a 37-ish BMW R35 that I could use some advice on.

Mark, I havent't yet seen your name and membership number from the club secretary yet. When I do, I'll enter it into the forum database.

Great,
Thanks for the response.
I paid through paypal, but I am not sure that was the best thing to do. Should I fill out the form and snail mail it in as well?

Oh, I understand now. Yes, you should also fill out a copy of the membership application form and send it in, indicating that you've paid via PayPal.

I'm sorry that this isn't as straighforward, clear or obvious as it should be. I will reword the membership page today, to try to make this clearer, and hope to eventually make things easier to do completely online.

Way to go, Darryl, et.al.

I actually clicked on this in error and was very pleased to see something other than an apology!
