BMW R12 war time machine :)

Post by Lukasz »

Dear antique BMW Fans,
There are some photos of my BMW R12 which I have had since 25y. It was the first BMW I restored long time ago. I drove it intensively till the moment I changed on R75 WH.
Motorcycle is high level original because I have replaced all replica parts with old stock. It is fully operational and I have also light sidecar Stoye LS250 to it. My BMW usually has worked as combination and in my opinion lighter sidecar is better because motorcycle frame is less suffering. Time for sidecar will come.
The frame is reinforced. Bosch lamp EAS170 without fuzz and charging light. Air filter is having original covers dedicated to WH model. It has standard Entstört nach Gruppe III plate, so must keep distance from the radio over 30m 😊 I added better thermal isolation of floating chamber by additional radiator and also installed break light.
If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me anytime.

Hi Lukasz,
nice bike, I have one with sidecar too. If I am not mistaken mine is also from Poland (I should check the registration).

Hi Marco, I found it here in Poland but many many years ago when the R12 was cheap and popular...
Please send photos of yours R12 if possible.
Have a nice day
