Post by C.K »

Hello
I start to restore D2B magneto,
I like to know what is the resistance for the rotor coil?
I measured 13000ohm!
it looks to high to me.
Also what kind of electronic regulator is recommend for the dynamo?

Bearing insulation.

The outer race of a magneto bearing is seated in its housing in an insulator to prevent the high-tension return current from passing through the bearing and to force it to pass through the earth brush.

I would highly recommend you to send your mag to a specialist restoration service.
