R75WH Carbs

Post by patentgeek »

Any recommendations for carbs for an R75WH engine? Mine came with later Bings (1/26/9 and 1/26/10), which I might be able to get to work with a lot of futzing, but I would prefer originals or something where somebody else has figured out a good baseline.

The engine is in a 1939 R71 frame, so originality isn't a huge concern.

The R75 engine came with 24mm

Both the R71 and the R75 engine came with 24mm Graeztins, I believe. They're still available on places like German Ebay-but most will have to be rebuilt. But if you just want something reliable and can get parts for, I'd suggest just using a set of prewar Bings. They certainly look the part and there's a couple of sellers on German Ebay that sell rebuilt ready to go sets.

Thanks. Reliable and serviceable are my goals. I'll try surfing for pre-war bings on eBay.de
