Hey all, I spied this R12 today

Anyone know the history of this bike? Serial # on bottom of motor is 27472 but is shown with matching frame #. That can't be right, engine stamp looks like good old BMW numbers but frame looks fudged. It's got military frame reinforcement too. Looks nice in pics, but...
