Brake Linings For An R11?

Well, my brakes are close to shot. Going down way too many San Francisco hills seems to have answered the motorcycle equivalent of the age-old question "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie pop?"

The front should be easy since the dia and width are are about the same as an R12; The rear Clamshell is another matter. Does anyone know of a source for them?

Last time I had to buy a complete new repop brake just to get the pads...seems silly.

I would give Scottie Sharpe a call. He is in Santa Clara. He has done the brake linings for several of my bikes. Always been happy with the work. He does custom brake lining. He has had a R11 in his shop in the past.

Hi Barry

I am surprised you haven’t had helpful advice from more local sources, there must be some specialist brake/clutch re-lining services in your part of the world.
If it helps these people have done both brakes on my R11. I don’t remember the cost, it wasn’t much, but imagine the shipping to the U.K. etc wouldn’t be the easiest or cheapest solution for you.
