Bosch Horn WW2 Photos

Post by spider rust »

I am looking for period reference showing the Bosch horn as fitted to the R12 and prob other motorcycles.
The prolific Bosch copy which I think is powder coated has a blank Bosch makers plate. The plate is riveted instead of threaded screws
and the use of wrong profile panhead screws which screw into nuts, is wrong. The bezel should be threaded.
I fail to understand why parts are made that are so wrong on the detail, when all it takes is some research.

Bosch Horn assermbly

This horn was in parts the spring on the adjusting screw has a steel cup washer with a rubber washer inserted.
Am I correct in my assembly order. I can't work out why the washer with rubber are fitted here?

The rubber grommet is a seal under the spring where the adjusting screw enters the case.
